Archaeopix highlights the best archaeological photographs posted by individuals or organisations to Flickr and provides a tool to find reusable photographs of archaeological interest. All photographs have a Creative Commons license attached to them.
The search tool queries a number of archaeology groups on Flickr, including the main Archaeology group (run by the creators of Archaeopix), as well as individual accounts who post all-archaeology photos.
All images displayed in search results may be used for non-commercial purposes without needing to ask for permission first. However, most photographers will require attribution, and you should check exactly how you may use an image by looking at the type of Creative Commons license the image owner has applied to the photo. Click the license link underneath each photo to display a plain English version of the license agreement.
